Long Island, Out Islands, Bahamas
Good morning and Happy Valentine's Day to all

We are in for a long run today need to get closer to Turks Caicos before the winds decide to change, Marj and Craig leave from there on the 18th . We hope to Anchor at Mayaguana Bay I'll post where later as we don't know our final landing spot yet. The trip was long but calm seas the entire day, some long slow swells but those are not a problem at all. Interesting how you get used to the waves as the days roll on. We left the dock at 4AM a very early start to the day but we had 130 miles to cover today. Over a 9 plus hour day. The water is really deep in the open over 6000 ft but still a dark gorgeous blue color. We were approaching the north end of Crooked Island and noticed a flock of birds on the water in a tizzy we immediately thought fish, Craig hurried to get the fishing rod ready and we dropped a line.   Interesting note when you fish here the line bounces on top of the water trolling style.   I took over holding the fishing rod and in a short time a fish grabbed on, what an exciting experience to catch a fish while floating around the Bahamas. You know right a way when you have a fish on the line the fish takes off wow I've never done this before so it was very new for me . Bryan put the boat in neutral and come down to reel it in and Craig netted and bonked it on the head …what a team! We tried again to fish with no luck but we were very happy with our small little tuna.

We saw sever whales today on route but couldn't get real close to them they were shy. We saw several schools of flying fish, these fish are very cool buzz along the top of the water and fly, how they fly we do not now.

We navigated our way into a protected harbor on the Island and set anchor. I went for a snorkel near the boat not much to see lots of sand lots of brown colored star fish that were very fat I've never seen a thick star fish before and there were many of them.

We had appy's on the bow of the boat watching the sun set it was a perfect moment. We cooked our wonderful fish for dinner, we had tuna that we caught and also wahoo white fish that we were given by some fisherman on the dock last night a delicious meal. Followed by dice and crib a very good Valentine's day.
