Woke up at 6am, actually awakened by people stomping around in the dorm, and started in on the blog. Wifi is halfway decent so far: it's cut out a couple of times, but speed seems to be pretty good.  

It's now 11am. I'm still in bed in my pj's. But I finished the last two days blogs. Having trouble uploading pics to Google Photos. So I guess I'll take a shower and get dressed, then try again.  

Went for a walk for two hours.  

 

Had lunch overlooking the park.

Xela is a bit cooler than Lake Atitlan, because it sits at about 8000ft altitude, whereas the lake is only 5000ft.  

Back at the hostel around 2pm. Did more Spanish school research. Read for a while.  

Got hungry again, around 6pm. Couldn't find anyone to share a meal with me (pizza sounded good!), so I just went to McDonald's. The menu and food seems on a par with the US, at least at this particular location. It was also quite busy. This is Sun night, so maybe everyone goes out for a treat. This location is right on the park. Vendors all over the place. People all around. Lots of kids, and some adults, eating ice cream and other treats. Again, not sure if this is a normal Sun night.  

Returned, watched a movie, read a little, went to sleep around 10pm.
