Finally! I have seen the Mont Saint Michel. It is has impressive as one can imagine it. The abbey is perched on the top of the rock with houses build on the flanks. Very impressive architecture.

If you don't have much money in your pockets or don't want to spend an insane amount in only one day then here are some tips . First, pack a sandwich, the food on the Mont is expensive and not that great. Second, don't park in the car park. If you come from the west you can drive a little further and park near a trail. Then it is about 30min walk to the free shuttle bus. This trick will save you 12€ and it is very nice to walk toward the Mont, the view is great.

Even if you want to spare money, you will still need to pay 9euros to get into the abbey. Don't miss it, that would be a shame not to see it from the inside.



Enfin! J'ai vu le Mont St Michel. C'est aussi impressionnant qu'on se l'imagine. L'abbaye est perchée au sommet du caillou et les maisons sont accrochées à flancs de cailloux. Prouesse d'architecture.

Si vous n'avez pas trop de sous ou que vous ne voulez pas dépenser une fortune en une seule journée voilà quelques conseils. Avant de partir, faites-vous un sandwich. La nourriture sur le Mont est chère et pas géniale. Ensuite, vous n'êtes pas obligé de garer dans le parking payant (12€). Si ça ne vous dérange pas de marcher un peu, environ 30min, vous pouvez vous garer un peu plus à l'est et marcher. Il y a un chemin avec vue imprenable sur le Mont.

Bon par contre, ça ne vaut pas le coup d'économiser 9€ pour ne pas voir l'abbaye. Si vous ratez ça vous ratez les trois quart du Mont. L'intérieur est très intéressant et on peut voir comment l'abbaye a été construite par étapes.
