13^th A very different day weather-wise today – grey and cloudy with a hint of rain, so we stayed on site catching up with chores and friends. We did leave in the afternoon for a bike ride along the prom, along some of the many wonderful traffic-free bike paths we love in this area, but that was the full extent of our exercise for the day.


14^th Oct The weather gods were obviously in a good mood as we woke once again to blue skies and sunshine. This morning saw me off to Spanish lessons while R caught up with correspondence and a bit of reading. In the afternoon we went off to play boules again, with mixed success (me bad, him good) followed by the customary visit to Happy Hour.






During the evening 8 of us went into town to eat at the Sicilian restaurant we'd enjoyed on R’s birthday, then we went to a bar to hear friends of our friends, Michelle & Hermann, sing. It was all too short but very good, then we strolled back to the van in the balmy evening air.
