On Deck 17 we checked out the gym, did a 2mile brisk walk round the walking track and on the level above we watched the passengers do a Zumba routine. That gets the heart level pumping. As we walked back through the gym we joined in on the seminar “Secrets to a Flatter Stomach” which was interesting (nothing we didn’t already know) but it was just another thing to buy their Algae product. Once the head Instructor mentioned the word “Detox” we both looked at each other and knew the sell was coming. How to part with US $149 for a couple and we know our blood, cholesterol, etc. is okay.Settled down near the pool for lunch, watched the men get up for the “Sexy Leg” Competition which was hilarious watching them strut their stuff around and in the pool. When the Caribbean Pan music started playing we departed as it wasn’t long before we had to change for the Captain’s Circle special event invitation in the Theatre.Well it was a waste of time at the Captain’s circle special event 15 minutes of very loud singing and music then a lucky ticket draw for three couples (bottle of champagne for two and upgrade as a major draw).Found a table right in front of where the Champagne Waterfall was taking place in the Atrium Piazza. Lovely piano music while the champagne glass pyramid was being formed. Took progressive film while a team were putting it up and at 7.15pm Giorgio Pisano the Maître d’hôtel poured bottle after bottle of champagne over the glasses with the assistance of a long line of passengers having their photo taken with him. Followed by a speech from Captain Bob Oliver who introduced the top executive staff and then a late dinner in a near deserted Horizon Court.
