Eleuthera, Bahamas
Strong westerly winds during the night and a swell of two meters. Good night’s sleep woke when the ship anchored off the shore of Princess Cays on Eleuthera Island in the Bahamas. Tender attempted to enter the small harbour bay and dock but the swell was two meters making it unsafe to transfer passengers to the island.
The Captain made the decision to up anchor and sail back to Port Everglades at a slower speed to arrive at the same time tomorrow 7am. The weather today is forecast as north-westerly winds, overcast, two meter swell and possible rain so looks like another day at sea watching movies, listening to music in the Atrium and walking round the ship.
Can see islands on the horizon from our balcony suite on the starboard side of the ship, still very windy outside and no one is in the pool as the swell is rolling the ship plus it is a bit dangerous to be in the pool. Ventured down to Deck 5 and enjoyed a Latte in the Atrium doing a bit of people watching.Decide on smart dressing tonight and dine in the Traditional Concerto Dining Room for a sit down al a carte Menu and be waited on. Seeing I had pre-ordered my three course dinner last night and my dietary details are in the computer I am set for every night if we choose to do Traditional dining. Good service and meal so I think we might dine here every night instead of the Horizon Buffet. In saying that if we are tired and wish to be casually dressed then we will go and have a buffet meal.Nearly 9pm found a table in the Atrium and our friendly Russian drink waitress brought over our drinks while we listened to the New Deal playing the oldies. Took a video of two couples that dance to the speed of snails when fast tunes are played. Retired when they finished at 10pm.
