It's always interesting to have a peak in the past. So when it was one of the few days that the Dettinger Museum opened we visited again.
It is cool when you go in the black smith and you know the people working there, or if you walk through the museum and find your own name and know this is from your ancestors.
Its fun to see the old barn with the pigs, or walk around the house to see the old stone sink (looks just as my grandma’s), we are happy we don’t have to wash like in the old days

So if you don’t keep a diary and your brain doesn’t remember everything: then you end up with some pictures and you have no clue: where those pictures come from and where you went. So you ask your husband and he remembers: we went with your friend Esther – ok and then it comes back:
We drove up to the Castle Hohenasberg, which is today a youth prison: So an old castle built 1535, became a prison in the beginning of the 18th century.
But doesn’t mean you can’t come here – so if not for Esther and Thomas we wouldn’t come on the idea to drive up there walk around – what a shame it is getting dark. But there is no way we can see it clearly: not everything is open for the public.

Soon we will leave Germany. So we decided we will visit once more Maggi on the Schoenblick and with us came the whole Frank family.
First we visited the huge construction site they have there, walked around the outsides. After all this we deserved a nice piece of cake or ice-cream – and since the sun is shining outdoors, even we need the jacket.
And then we have to walk off all those calories with a nice fall walk.
