Biberacher Schuetzenfest Biberacher Schuetzenfest – July 30, 2006

Biberach has every year the Schuetzenfest – since when: amazingly it was first mentioned in 1668. Today it's every year a nine day festival and on one day with a historic parade, which came to check out. And it was also Gine’s first time here, since she knew someone from Biberach and heard through him about the parade.

Biberacher Schuetzenfest What we saw here besides a lot were horses
  • The medieval knights and castle
  • The fairy tales like: "Ali Baba and the 40 robbers", The little “Heinzelmaenchen”, “Max & Moritz”, “Haensel & Gretel” as well as “Obelisk”
  • All kind of trades, old costumes, The knights, The robbers,
  • A lot of different kind of German Volksmusik bands: in all kind of colors and all kind of humbaba music
We did have a glance into the middle age.

Biberacher Schuetzenfest From there we went up to the parade ground where they had a lot of rides and also the beer tents, lots of food booths.

With a ride on the big wheel we got a nice view on Biberach and the surrounding area… we had ice cream, nice rips… walked around and checked out the horses from the parade, we saw the middle age living: the tents, saw them dancing and eating…

It was one super cool day and experience.
