Fall in Swabia

 

 
Stuttgart Airport – Aug 23, 2006
What to do on a nice sunny day off… after already visiting so many old towns, castles… Paul decided we need something totally different. So we went to the Stuttgart airport.
Even if not flying off to vacations, this is one cool spot to hang out, since they have an outside viewer's terrace, where we can be in the sun watch the planes come and go…
And besides that also check out some older planes or get excited about the different painted planes.
So we had one day of fun.

 
 Einsiedel – Sept 11, 2006
So Paul likes the roads with the Allee like trees planted and there is one close to Tuebingen: towards Einsiedel. So we went up towards this old "hunting lodge" and a few scare houses – with an amazing road.

 
 An Autobahn Bridge - Neckartalbruecke
Another interesting thing here is the large bridge going over the Neckar valley with the autobahn. So we stop underneath to get a feeling on how tiny we are.

 
 Old Train in Nuertingen – Sept 17, 2006
Once in a while they have the old train running from Nuertingen to Neuffen. So we went to Nuertingen to check it out: it isn’t very comfy with solid wood seats, but looks really cute and when the steam engine fires up: talk about smoke… this train won’t go by anybody without you seeing it.
