I’m sure we are the only one celebrating Canada day… But we have our Canada cake.

Rock in the ruins Rock in the Ruins – July 15, 2006

Who is Capewalk?
Once upon a time some guys started in 1989 a band called Golgatha: originally with Martin, Kerni, Marc and Sven, they thought it’s cool to have a manager as not part of the band, so Gine came into the place. And since we all liked Rock and Heavy metal… we not only visited together a lot of concerts, but Gine went around with the guys on the concerts – first as driver then helping with organizing and finally also as a sound technician.
Then Golgatha became Capewalk – with Josy, Dani, Kerni, Martin and 1st Sven W. and then Dani K., also part of the team was Simon (light), Bern (sound).

Capewalk was a big part of Gine’s former life in Germany, so for sure she had to bring Paul to one of the concerts, so that he learns what it is all about. And what better than going to an outdoor festival in a ruin in Germany???
And so we went to some old ruins from the 12th century which looked today a little bit different and enjoyed the concert.

Achalm Achalm – July 29, 2006

Boys camp - the accomodations Das Jungscharlager – the boy’s camp – July 30, 2006
Every year the Evangelisches Jugendwerk has 2 camps one for girls and one for boys. So this year Ricci and Simone are part of the leader team to look after the 120 boys in the tents. And Micha is part of the boys staying in the camp.
So we came to check it out: lots and lots of people, the parents are dropping of the kids and can check out the camp, Simone in the kitchen, Ricci with the leader team, the tents, we are welcomed by the Camp Team, see some cool burning wood logs which we later use to BBQ our smokies.

Erbstetten - a nice picnic table Erbstetten
Already on the Alp, we stopped when driving through this town, because we saw the very best Picnic table – and still I’m waiting for Paul to make me one like this.

Hayingen Hayingen
In this little town we stopped at a super cute bridge with some nice statues on it, and also discovered some typical German farmer houses.

Bichishausen Bichishausen
Was worth the stop to see up on the old ruins and the old guardhouse… one day we have to come back and explore the ruin.
