A very Merry Christmas from us to you and your families.

We left the grey, damp and bleak Zaragoza this morning and continued our trip north, we did a few hours in thick fog before it lifted and we had sunshine, the further north we travelled the warmer it has become, we are now sat at Camping Laroulette with the sunshine coming through the MH windows. We have done our dog walk around the lake and are sat having a beer and G and T, as you do!

The border crossing, after all the hype, was a complete non event. We swiped our card for the toll, gave a wave to the gendarmerie and drove on. The roads are very quiet as expected although the site is not. It’s open all year and there are quite a few French long termers here and there have been six motorhomes arrived since we came on. No other Brits though.

Tomorrow we head off to an aire in Angoulême, about 4 hours away. Let’s hope the weather is as good as it is here, which is nothing like we were expecting! I’ll let you know tomorrow.
