Hi folks,

We are back in one of our favourite campsites, but only for a short time whilst we sort out stuff before heading home. We are even back on the pitch we have long termed on previously, albeit first time with the motorhome. Things have changed a bit with a lot of the perimeter trees now cut down giving longer sunshine time on the pitches, the old wall has been demolished around the pool and a new steel and tiled one put in which is also a plant holder, currently full of poinsettias for Christmas.

We did the Christmas dinner the other day which had a slightly different menu than a traditional English one, we had tuna on a bed of mash with alioli and croutons appetizer followed by a fish soup, then pork ribs cooked in port sauce with mash and petit pois. Dessert was carrot cake and a glass of Buck’s Fizz with crushed ice. The food was very good and really cheap with our beer and gin and tonic included. 

We’ve done the shopping we needed to do making sure we stayed within our new duty free allowances, we’ve brought our winter coats and boots in from the outside locker and put the shorts and summer clothes away in preparation for our 1000 mile trip to the eurotunnel, this involves going north into France which we know is going to be chilly. Oh well, it will be a good test for the MH and us. It will be our first winter in 6 years!

PCR tests booked, vaccination certificates printed, site confirmation and vet appointment confirmation printed, we are good to go! One more stopover for a night in Zaragoza and it will be goodbye Spain till next time.
