Urbanización Cerrado de Elviria, Andalucía, Spain and Canary Islands
Hi folks,
We arrived here a few days ago having been blasted by wind at the last stop, contacted this site by phone, they had places so we moved. As always after setting up, okay, parking the motorhome on a pitch and plugging in the electric, we went for a bimble and had a couple of sundowners in the bar afterwards.
It is quite a pleasant site with very good ablutions, good size pitches but the roads are a bit broken in places. It is a busy place though with people coming and going all the time, quite a few Finnish, Germans and French and a couple of Brits. There are couple of British casita wallahs around as well! The staff were even moving chalets on whilst we were here, bit tight in places as you can see by the photos.
We were hit by a storm which caused a bit of damage down on the beach although the day after one of the chiringuitos put the sun beds out, and some French folk were actually sat on them in a howling wind having a cocktail! We’ve had a few walks around the place, some of the views are excellent. There was a bulldozer in the hills flattening a bit of a hill top, clearly enjoying himself whatever he was up to.
Unfortunately we have come to the conclusion after following pieces of information that the ferries from Spain to Morocco are unlikely to start running before the end of the year which is too late for us to take that chance, our schengen 90 days runs out on the 4th Jan so we have made the decision to start heading back the way we came, along the south coast and up the east of Spain. We will then stop off and get the dog sorted and head through France to the tunnel or ferry, we won’t spend too much time in France though as it will be cold.
We have decided that we will move on again tomorrow heading east, the first leg of our homeward bound journey! :(
