Hi folks,

We found a little gem in this place and managed to get the last pitch but for two nights only, we took a liking to the place and the friendly atmosphere to such an extent that the owners re-jiggled some spaces and we will have stayed for 5 nights when we leave in the morning.

This is a bit of a ‘Mini Javea’ with regards to a small community, shops and restaurants within walking distance and a beach, even though the sand is grey! On arrival a lady appeared on the pitch telling us we may have to turn the motorhome around as the owner liked all the doors facing the same way, her statement told me she wasn’t the owner so we left it, she also told us that a group gets together at 4 in the afternoon in the outside area for a beer, that sounded good. Our first dog walk was to the beach where we found a nice beach bar/restaurant to chill in and have a beer or two, not forgetting the four o clock gathering of course.

Whilst we met some nice folk none were going in our direction so no pearls of wisdom really, but nonetheless they were all pleasant company. Small world though, one couples son knew me from my previous life and their daughter could have worked with our daughter in law previously!

This is a great little site and it would be very easy to fall into the ‘small village’ life that exists here, however that’s not this year as our goal is still to get into North Africa, the ferries look promising for either late this week or early next so tomorrow we will keep heading west getting nearer to Algeciras and the ferry terminal with every move.

Fingers crossed, after a couple more stopovers who knows!
