Up early packed ready to pickup the Pontiac from Carters Burnaby and start our adventure to Vancouver Island only to find out when we were booking out that we had another night. What a dork I had them in stitches when I said I would go stand in the corner.

Well it was a miserable day first day of rain all the other days the weather had been glorious in the mid 20's. Took our bags back up to our room meet the Housemaid Elizabeth got some more tea and coffee bags as well as fresh towels. Hold her we were leaving tomorrow and she could do the room then.

Took our $5 voucher down to the hotel café and had two Lattes. Met a lovely couple from England they were leaving that night so we chatted about our adventures. They had been away a month did the inner passage round cruise and went to Vancouver island, Banff, Jasper, Lake Louise and visited friends.

Gave us some tips on what to see, do and where to stay on Vancouver Island as we mentioned we were having problems with booking accommodations at Ucluelet.

When the rain eased a bit we walked a couple of blocks to Davie Street where they were setting up all the street stalls ready for the Gay Pride Davie Street Festival. What a sight everyone was having fun some of the stalls were similar to the ones in the Viva Vancouver Street Festival so we thought we would give it a miss tonight. The weather wasn't that good.

Bought a couple of Poncho's from a store like our Two Buck Shop's and some more provisions to last us till we get to Vancouver Island.

Early night tonight never unpacked only took out what we needed. All ready for an early start leaving on the correct day.
