Comox, British Columbia, Canada
Everyone slept in today seeing it had been raining all night terry is pleased as they need some rain for the gardens summer was beginning to become a bit dry.

We were all very lazy watching the news in our jammies some sort of news as Perth politicians rorting the system, sex scandals, kidnaps and murders. Breakfast was muesli with fresh garden raspberries, peaches, nuts and yoghurt.

As it was still raining Terry got his ipad out hooked it up to the TV through his Apple computer and we spent the morning viewing their hiking holidays on different parts of Vancouver Island and in Mexico. The scenery was breathtaking and Richard and I might take the fishing boat (M.V. Uchuk) day trip on the west coast of Vancouver Island down Gold River to Friendly Cove on Nootka island where Captain George Vancouver and Captain Cook first landing and the natives welcomed them. Terry showed us many places we could go and see.

Finished off the salmon we had last night with salad and seeing the rain had eased we went to downtown Comox walked along the boardwalk at the fishing harbour saw these lovely old wooden fishing boats and on the other side at the commercial harbour a lady was selling tuna and other fish from her boat. Walked to the end of the pier where there was a big cruising motor boat and had a chat with the owners. Spoke of our journey across Canada and they told us of some places to visit and to spend at least two nights everywhere. Had to visit the dinosaur park at Drumheller.

As we were walking up a gravel road to downtown Comox Richard noticed a wild blackberry bush and we had a feast picking them. The road came out near the Thrift Shop (like Good Sammies) went inside to look for a rain jacket and trousers for ourselves but couldn't find any. Took some videos for the town before Richard drove over to the Co Op Store to buy some sirloin steak for dinner and of course he spotted the Cadbury Milk Chocolate on special 3 200gm bars for $5.00. Next he drove to Pharmasave for me to buy some moisturiser have to have Richard's beautiful head looking lovely and shiny but it will never look as good as Fab's beautiful head.

Terry excelled himself tonight (it was his turn to cook as he and Diana take it in turns to cook) the steak and garden vegies were done to perfection. Sat out on the back porch and eat the bar of chocolate and grapes before moving back to the lounge to rest and listen to relaxing classical music and singing out of tune to Dolly Parton, Bette Midler and finishing with Gerry and the Pacemakers Liverpool theme song "You'll never walk alone". That is when Richard had enough of us from the other room.

The rain has moved on the sun is out and hopefully tomorrow will be a lovely sunny day.
