Too warm out

Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico

Got out at 6:30. Took some 'aerial' views of Zihua from a pedestrian overpass.

Walked to the beach area.  There’s a nice walkway that goes through town to the beach.

Small beach and it has a lot of rocks below the high water line. Lots of beach sand above it: looks like it may have been imported by the businesses there. An effort has been made to fancy things up for the tourist trade.

Ran into the market area. Seemed pretty busy for a Monday morning.

Found a room in the downtown/market/tourist area for $21 with a/c, although on the board it said ‘fan only’. Double checked - yah, I have State Farm - with the clerk, and she repeated ‘with air’. Told me to come back at 1pm. Walked back to my room. Piddled around with the poor internet. Then I packed up and headed out to the other place. Walked down to the street corner and got a cab ($1.50) to my new room.
The room wasn't ready (I'm about an hour early), but I was given another room temporarily. Left my stuff and went walking around for a while. Came back and the room still wasn't ready. So I went out and poked around some more. This time the room was ready, with a/c on. Boy, did I need that. Took a shower and chilled out for a while, working on blogs.

Suppertime. Went looking for a restaurant with a/c.

Didn't see one, so I came back to this one that was almost packed when I first went by it. I ordered this drink, which I thought was an alcoholic drink, but I didn't taste any alcohol; it was just a BIG fruit drink. Then I ordered 'pechuga': I thought it was fish I was ordering; no, it's chicken breast, and it's thin (as I've mentioned before), about 1/4 in at the thickest and 1/8 in at the thinnest, but you get two pieces of this. One piece was enough for me, along with the salad and fries, and it was good. $3 for the entree, $2.50 for the drink.

There was a slight shower which I didn't even notice: too busy eating and looking around the restaurant.

Went looking for the only laundry I'd seen earlier. Found it. Tomorrow is laundry day!

Spent the evening catching up on blogs.
