Mount Apsan and buffet

Daegu, Daegu, South Korea
8.30am wake up for a continental breakfast in the hostel. We then waited for the laundry to be done before heading out to Mount Apsan on the 410-1 bus.
From the bus stop we walked up towards the cable car entry via the Korean War Memorial where Dad and Shae went to have a look inside.
We then caught the cable car up. We didn't go to the Observatory, but walked the steep 1km path to the top of Apsan Mountain. The view was incredible and like you were on top of the world (the kids played ‘around around around the world’!). There were also only 4 other people we saw up there.
We wanted to walk to the King's Cave, but took the same way down to a junction in the path (no sign, but the rope barriers to indicate the alternate way down) and ended up at the Unification Wish Stone Pagoda via a very steep and rocky pathway. This way down was really lovely. We past several older Korean citizens going for their 'regular' walks (very inspiring). We then came across the Ansil-sa Temple, walked down a very steep road before finding the bus stop at the end to take us back on the 410. A lovely day out filled with blue skies and nature !!!
By the time we got back into town (4.30pm) we were all hungry so headed for the all-you-can-eat buffet. We feasted for 90 mins on sushi, hot pot, profiteroles and marinated pork. We were all absolutely stuffed by the end of our sitting and headed home via afew shops. Shae bought a couple of cute sweaters.
