Alvdal, Eastern Valleys, Norway
We left Ljusdals and followed the river towards the border. We caught sight of some snow and assumed it must be in Norway but in fact it was in Sweden. We passed through a swedish ski resort, which looked quite sad all shut up for the summer. In amongst all the chalets there were loads of domesticated reindeer - they were even wandering across the road.
Later we passed a sign for wild reindeer and almost immediately saw one by the side of the road. It ran into the trees right away and the sun was right ahead which meant all the dashboard was reflected on the windscreen, but you can just see it is a reindeer!
We passed into Norway on an unmanned crossing point - and we had potatoes! - not actually realising we were in Norway until we saw a flag.  We soon took a road we recognised, passing Roros, and could see the Tron mountain. there seemed to be a lot more snow from when we were there before. We stopped overnight in a rastplass by a lake, on the other side of Tron. There were 4 other MH's with us. Across the small lake was a high bare cliff face and rob saw what he thought was a peregrine's nst.  With the max zoom on the camera we could see what we thought was a chick. it was grey and white but a bit to blurry to identify
