Fossbakken, Troms, Norway
We woke up to see the sun sparkling on the sea.  We decided to get away from all the other MH's and have our breakfast on the road. We found a lovely layby back along the coast with picnic tables and fantasic views and had our breakfast outside in the sun! It was really hard to believe we were inside the Arctic Circle.  The coast of Norway is warmed by the Gulf Stream, which keeps all the ports ice free.
We retraced our steps back towards Narvik, but the journey was unrecognisable from the way out. The sky was blue and the fjords and the sea were all the blues from turquoise to deep azure, and all sparkling in the sun.
We stopped for lunch at the spot where we had overnighted the previous day and went for a walk, and couldn't believe the difference.
The photos don't do it justice - remember if you 'click on' the photos you can see them in a bigger slide show format.   Please do leave comments if you wish.

We then left the E10 and headed back onto the E6, heading towards Tromso.  For the first part of the journey we climbed steeply into an area of snowy mountains and frozen lakes and you could feel the temperature drop.   We didn't fancy spending the night up high in freezing conditions, so we were glad when the road dropped down into a valley, following a big, fast flowing river.
.
At our second attempt we managed to find a place to stop, near some military land ,and watched some Norwegian Army tanks and personnel carriers going past. We shared our night spot with 2 Finnish MH's.

So pleased you were able to see the scenery in sunshine - brought back memories of our hols and remembering the beautiful clean fresh air of Northern Norway. Fantastic photos.
