Alta, North Norway, Norway
We left Nordkapp at 7.30 am, while most others were still asleep.  We retraced our steps back to the mainland and found a nice bay on the coast where we stopped for breakfast.  There were several reindeer around.
When we got back to Alta we found the LPG station on the industrial estate and gassed up. Then we got dIesel and a few essentials at Rema, spending the last of our Norwegian kroner on Jaffa cakes!! ( To satisfy our chocolate craving - Choc is very expensive!)
We made our way to the Alta museum carpark, but there were already about 15 MH's there, so we went on to a big layby overlooking the fjord to have our lunch and a break. We chatted to a lovely couple from Munchen Gladbach who were on their 17th trip to Scandinavia!
At about 4.45pm we made our way back to the museum carpark and only one MH was left.  We found a nice level spot and after the visitor centre had shut at 5pm went for a walk and saw the rest of the rock paintings. ( as before, after closing, there are no barriers and you can just walk into the site for free) It was a beautiful warm evening and it was very pleasant strolling along the boardwalks down by the fjord.  It was hard to believe we were hundreds of miles inside the Arctic Circle.
