Sick day

Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico
First bell: 7:30. I rolled over, but got up not long after.

Spent about an hour on FB and email. Then I did some more research on Mexico and Guatemala. Caught another chill and a headache. Made myself warm, and swallowed an Aleve. About four hours later I had to take another Aleve. Then I decided to read for a little. As usual, I nodded off after a while. Woke up with a sore neck, so I sacked out in bed for a bit. Then I did a little more computer stuff, followed by a little more reading.

Some kind of drum and bugle corps came down the street. The flags are not part of it: they hang off the hotel.

I began to get hungry, but I really didn't feel like going anywhere: I was still feeling out of sorts. But after a couple hours (6:30), I went down to the hotel dining room. I had a glass of wine and ordered spaghetti with shrimp (Pasta Camarones). They served a very nice salad: light on the lettuce, with carrots, tomatoes, black olives, green peppers, italian dressing, and topped with grated parmesan; and not a huge serving either - just the way I like it. It came with four pieces of sliced french bread with garlic butter on them. The pasta came on an appetizer sized plate, but it was piled high (more than enough for me) with a white sauce and about 16 baby shrimp. Cost: $4.75, wine $1.65.

Spent the rest of the evening ('til midnight) reading and watching TV. There are maybe 6 or 8 channels that have english programs at least part of the time. Watched a couple of partial shows, then finally caught a movie almost from the beginning: Catch Me If You Can. Was ready to go to sleep, but someone's in the next room again and they won't shut up. So I'm working on blogs, then I'll probably read for a little while.
Finally went to sleep about 1:15 am
