Martin needed to do a couple things in Puerto Vallarta, and I had told him I'd like to go to Wal-Mart, so we headed out early. Even though it's only 60 km to PV, it can take up to two hours to get there: lots of 2-lane mountain driving, lots of slow trucks.  

Martin did his thing, then we went to Home Depot, then to Wal-Mart: didn't find what I was looking for (Leatherman), but bought a t-shirt ($3).  

Stopped for lunch on the way back. Martin ordered: turned out to be some kind of thin steak (seems all their meats are thin; because of the expense, they make it go farther this way), tasty, with rice and small salad.  

Got back about 3pm. Martin headed out somewhere. I walked downtown (about 10 min) to do a little more shopping: rum, coke, and some munchies! (You'd think I was smoking dope!)  

Poor internet. Watched another movie. Went to bed.
