The next stage of the journey.

Launceston, Tasmania, Australia
This morning the rainforest decided to live up to its name and it was too wet to go on the short walk we had promised ourselves before leaving the national park.
No wallaby either today so we finished our time on Cradle Mountain with a visit to the Rangers Station to find out more about the site .
Time to leave the National Park and drive through the mountains and back to civilisation.
Everywhere is very green and the vegetation quite lush, not surprising as we drove in rain and low cloud for a good part of the journey.
Our 'morning tea' stop this morning was to be the small town of Sheffield; known for its murals.
They were amazing, virtually every building had an amazing piece of art work on its outside wall. Some were connected to the buildings history, others depicted local people, events or stories. The result, even in the rain and grey skies looked spectacular. To add to all this the town holds an annual mural competition of new murals and we were lucky enough to see some fantastic pieces that had been entered into the competition. All of this made for a very pleasant interlude on our drive to our next base at Launceston.
Driving through more places with familiar names we finally arrived at our new 'home' for the next few days the Sebel Hotel. Very nice it is too; our apartment is quite spacious and has a massive dinning table big enough to seat the whole of our family!!!
