South Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Our last day in Melbourne today so it's off the one area haven't been yet down to the docks area. We were really fond of this part of the town on our last visit.
Our tram number 75, rattled through the city to the harbour area, on a not very crowded tram the ride was very pleasant . it's amazing how it's changed. So many more exclusive apartments, really lovely looking blocks. Fantastic colours that contrasted perfectly with the colours and shades of the sea and the old building from the dock. Beautiful today with the sun shining on the water and reflected in the glass of so many windows and doors.
Morning tea was taken in a really nice place on the harbour, while we enjoyed the sunshine and admired the boats.
Wandering around the harbour admiring the sculptures and the architecture was a really pleasant way of passing the morning. Lunch in Harbour town and a wander round the shops rounded off the afternoon nicely. Another tram ride and a walk around Fitzroy Gardens was a lovely way to end our last day in Melbourne.
The park looked so lovely in the late afternoon sunshine, we found several waterfalls, the fairy tree and the model village. The rose hip tea was an added bonus!!
