Well we are here at last in South America I cant believe we have been travelling for 6 months now. Having a month in Australia was kinda like just being at home it was safe and easy to get about and everyone spoke English so we had that nervous/excited feeling coming here like when we first left home not knowing what to expect or how soon it would be before we got mugged haha !

We spent our last day in Sydney just chilling out packing, washing clothes in a proper washing machine and getting stuff sorted for Santiago .  

Our flight was Fri at 0930 am and we arrived Fri at 1120 am on the same day even though we had a 16 hour flight - time travel !! 

The flight was packed so no sleeping for us- we made a stop in Auckland, New Zealand we got off for an hour which please Marc cause he could get a fag. We spent the rest of the flight drinking free alcohol and trying to sleep with not much success -eventually we touched down in Santiago and much to my delight it was hot n sunny, it was meant to be same weather as Aus but it was defo warmer here. The view of the andes from the plane was amazing too they are just so huge.

We got a taxi to our hostel which had a huge balcony overlooking the Plaza de Armas the view was amazing. We went out for some food - it seems that everyone and I mean everyone here eats HOT DOGS???? How utterly random, the cheap shitty hot dogs but with a million different toppings like salsa, avocado and god knows what else it was but there was a whole street next to our hostel and it was all about the dogs !!!  

We tried to find the place in the next street to book our bus to Mendoza but we couldnt find it, no one spoke English and we were absolutely shattered and my legs were about to give way, we did our best to stay awake but we couldn't even speak properly anymore haha we fell asleep around 6pm!
