Driving through 5 countries in one day

Our Last day we are leaving Italy today, driving up north we came to

Italy - Como Italy - Como – Lago di Como

We found a nice place overlooking the lake and had a wonderful breakfast. From here we went towards the north end of the lake with some quick stops on the way

Italy - Lago di Como Domaso – Lago di Como

Here we stopped – since this is where Gine came every year, so we also went for a swim in the lake and walked along the beach… oops the Gelateria is gone, no more of Gine's favourite yoghurt ice cream. Then we got told we had to move the car…  but then there is still the supermarket selling those yummy six-packs of Banana ice cream, those cool us down before we start our long drive home.

Italy - Passo Spluga Passo Spluga

A narrow and steep pass… Gine hanging her head out of the top and enjoying the breeze… and otherwise we loved the wonderful views. On the top we crossed the border back into Switzerland…

Switzerland Switzerland

Here we stopped at some waterfalls, for a nice picnic and a short walk to enjoy the view of the mountain world

Fuerstentum Lichtenstein Fuerstentum Lichtenstein

How many countries can you drive through in a few hours: to get one more in after Italy and Switzerland we did a quick side trip into the Fuersten Lichtenstein, which is one of the 3 tiny little countries in Europe: with only 24 km in length it didn’t took too long to drive through – so no it’s on the list 'been there done that"

Austria

Crossing the border and then driving along the lake Constance we crossed the border again and came into

Germany

And a final stop at a McDonalds and after 5 countries in one day – time to come home after a great trip to Italy
