San Carlos de Bariloche, Río Negro, Argentina
Back along the pampas fighting the wind along Ruta 40. The scenery was different rolling hills golden grass twisting but paved roads.

We turn off to San Martin des Andes the scenery changes craggy out crops. This is where we should have stayed last night if we had not taken so long getting through the border. San Martin is a lovely town bit like Banff mix of shops and cafes.
We could have spent longer here but needed to press on to Bariloche and try and catch up to Lindsay and Marion before Ushuaia.

Tom - riding along i get this feeling i have been here before, a few miles later we pass a derelict shed in a pull off which i recognise as a place we stopped for a rest when i was following the Dakar Rally in 2009 with Globebusters. I wished id stopped to take a photo.

Scenery gets better as we near Bariloche and as the sun goes down so does the temperature we arrive cold and tired. After a quick shower we were out and had one of the best steaks of the trip.

What a day, life does not get much better.

Tom - getting the bike started is becoming more and more frustrating the gear potentiometer is not showing the neutral light and even with clutch pulled in it will not bloody start. Must get this replaced as soon as poss. In the meantime i keep squirting WD40 at it, don't think it does any good but makes me feel better.
