Really warm and sunny today, surfers already in the sea as we got up. Work had already started on site opposite too.
Today we are off to a new area, moving north of Perth to an area known as the Hillary's, recommended to Dirk by his local hair dresser .
This is a really lovely area, blue sea washing onto the golden sands of Sorrento Beach and there was even what might have been a shark net stretched across the bay.
There were lots of very attractive apartments and in the harbour at Sorrento Quay some very attractive boats.
There were lots of interesting places to eat, some gift and tourist shops and a small pleasure beach and water park. How did they manage to cram so much into such a small space?
A very pleasing place to spend a morning.
We had planned a picnic lunch at a lake but the lake had a no access so we found an alternative picnic site.
We planned to visit the town of Joondalup this afternoon and so headed for the town centre, only to discover that it was a large shopping mall. So we had to look around didn't we?
It was really good too. Another nice day.
