Exploring Treasure Cay

Treasure Cay, Out Islands, Bahamas
As predicted by the Wind and Weather apps of the world we had a very blustery day with some sunshine but cooler temps. The day started with a trip to Florence's Bakery to try out those delicious looking cinnamon buns we say her preparing yesterday, sadly they put icing on all of them so I couldn't partake but they looked amazing and I hear from the crew tasted just the same.

After a slow early morning we decided to walk the beach, this beach is the highlight of this marina / resort it is over 5 miles long of white powder sand rated one of the top 10 beaches . The sun came and went the winds were high and temps cooler but the beach did not disappoint it was stunning. At the very end of the beach we cut up to what looked like a resort and low and behold sitting behind some privacy screens was a beach club, a no fee beach club restaurant and bar. Gorgeous pool, luxurious lounge chairs and what looked like a very good menu. Anyone can use this free of charge only have to pay for your drinks and food if it was a hot day that's where I would be staying. We enjoyed a late lunch at Coco's Beach bar which was great for the others but my salad was less than inviting...oh well.

We enjoyed a browse in the gift shop before heading back to the boat I purchased a long sleeved t shirt for those cooler moments, I figure now that I bought one it will be hot the rest of the trip fingers crossed.

This resort as they call it is very old and run down, the bathrooms are terrible, showers don't work and bar area is pretty sketchy looking so your basic disappointment. The spa / fitness centre never did open so this is an example of great marketing pull in the clients with their fancy website get them here and I won't be back. The beach is amazing and beach bar but that's all they have sadly.

Dinner on board tonight compliments of Julie & Wayne chicken Coq au Vin it was amazing served over sweet potatoes and broccoli thank you so much. It amazes me how many great meals we can cook in this small kitchen.

The evening ended with a game of Hearts and dessert of Kit Kats and Cookies, I really must stop that part of my eating plan hehe.
