Hope Town, Out Islands, Bahamas
Good morning

It's a lovely morning cloudy and sunny which makes for a great sunrise . The skipper and I had so much sleep last night we were up early and enjoyed the bright sky.

I'm going to head over to the tiny gym for some stretchy and a wee workout before we leave. The plan is to cruise over to Hope Town Seaspray Marina it's a great place to leave her while we are gone. The winds are really light today so a great day to be on the water we might go for a snorkel on route or fish. I'm the crew now so I'm very thankful for the calm winds today the leaving and docking should be relatively easy.

Oh what a gorgeous exhilarating day on the water, pushing off the dock went very well it was calm so I had lots of time to deal with all these lines. First stop fuel dock another easy tie up, there was a rather large sail boat behinds us with 6 crew who were very inexperienced took them a very long time to get the boat on the dock I'm very worried about them out on the water for the next few days .

Second stop the open ocean to try and catch us some dinner. The best time is at slack and best spot is on the bank where the shallow meets the very deep open ocean. The swells were far apart and not too big so it was pretty nice cruising...there were a lot of boats out there doing the same thing so we were hopeful. We got one on the line Bryan yelled up to Skippett "I got one" so I slowed down and popped her into neutral. I got the gaffer ready, net, bonker thing and was poised and ready to deal with this beast when it arrived on the boat....then snap...yep he bit through the line and swam away with our hook! :-( so no fresh fish tonight.

From fishing we went to find a good spot to snorkel / dive, the first stop Bryan jumped in to check it out and there wasn't much happening on that reef so we moved over to another location. I jumped in this time to check things out swam around this reef didn't really see a lot and was just turning to head back to the boat when I saw a flutter of fish and yep there he was a shark ...eeek...eeek...I turned to look at him a few times he swam away but I was swimming quickly to the boat it was a very scary but also pretty cool thing! I don't think my heart has ever pounded so heavily. So we pulled anchor and moved again, I was hesitant to get into the water but thought no that's silly. So I put the diving gear on and stepped off the boat, this was my second dive of the trip and I felt much better with it all with the exception of my eagle eye looking for jaws hehe. Bryan held my hand and took me through and around all the reefs it was so beautiful I say a lot of fish and coral I quickly forgot about the shark.

It was a perfect day warm and sunny the water temp was 84f ahhh.

Into Seaspray marina around 4 the same slip as last time and no wind so that was nice. Herman our dock guy was helpful and we were tied up quickly. A note about the low tide it was super low given it was a new moon we churned up the bottom big time as we went into the marina harbor.

We enjoyed a "Switch'a" drink at the bar and talked with the other boaters for a while then back to the boat to pack and eat up our left overs.
