Green Turtle Cay, Out Islands, Bahamas
I'm up early and enjoying the sunrise it is just perfect as I sit here I hear the roosters waking up on the Cay close by, the waves are crashing on the other side of this tiny Island. There are a few fish jumping and the water is dead calm it is the perfect morning experience a real ahhhh moment.

We will try for a dive today which I'm sure will happen with the low winds . I want to get out on my paddle board so need to blow it up. We may try for some fishing today too some fresh fish for dinner would be amazing!

The day was simply perfect we have flat waters 90F air temperatures and 85F water temperature just perfect! My day started with a nice long paddle on our SUP followed by a delicious breakfast. Julie and I did a mini workout in the livingroom while underway to our 1st snorkeling spot it was easy as the water was so calm. Our morning snorkel was amazing along side a reef which a large wall filled with small crevices lots of choral and fish. Bryan and Wayne dove and the ladies snorkeled then I went for a dive. I must say I was a bit nervous the first dive of the year, but Bryan was great instructing / reviewing all the steps. The experience was great there is something about tossing the sand in the air from the bottom of the ocean or swimming along side the tropical fish is so serine . Then it was Julie's turn to try out diving, she had never dove before but Bryan went through all the instructions carefully Julie is so brave...stepping off the boat with all the gear on and just like that she's a diver. Julie's ears had trouble equalizing so unfortunately she could only go down about 7 feet but for her first dive it was just great.

From there we tried fishing back and forth trying new bait, Wayne did get a big one on the line but sadly it bit the line right off not sure what kind of fish that was! We then made our way back over to the wreck we snorkeled yesterday at Chub Rock there are huge schools of fish and we attempted to jib for dinner but again no luck, Wayne caught a very small yellow fish but not an eater. We snorkeled there again it was actually kind of fun to watch the fishing line in the water and the fish swim all around it. There are so many fish at this wreck and they are huge, oversized versions of many tropical varieties.

Then we zipped over to Green Turtle Cay to anchor in the marina, got cleaned up and took the dingy over to the dock to enjoy a drink in their bar . Its unique in that the walls are covered with dollar bills which everyone signs and staples to the wall. Back to the boat for dinner, sausage soup with a local Bahamian starch vegetable it was sort of like a parsnip / potatoe very different but yummy.

We were sitting at the kitchen table and Julie said she thought we may have moved and sure enough we had pulled off the anchor, Bryan was on a call so that quickly ended we started the engines and moved to find a mooring ball. This is very difficult when it's dark outside but we managed to find it and get secured I must say it is very nice to have Wayne here! I definitely need to get a better brighter head lamp light that would have made the job much easier. So after all that excitement and a long day in the sun it was early to bed for the crew.
