Treasure Cay, Out Islands, Bahamas
Happy Friday Everyone

Our plan is to head to Treasure Cay and show Doug and Patti the amazing beach . This marina if you remember is a fixer upper and we mentioned this to the manager on our last visit so we are getting a night free :-)...lets hope they have cleaned the washrooms a bit!

Our cruise over to Treasure Cay was a bit bumpy the winds are higher today but the swells were low which was great for fishing so we dropped in a line and tried to catch some dinner. Tried is the definitely word there no luck today on the fish biting. We were docked around 1 it was very windy when we arrived so it was a tricky docking but we managed with the dock masters help and lots of lines so thankful Bryan has a steady hand to hold the boat even in huge wind gusts.

Too windy to wash the boat down so off we went to the beach. Patti and I went for a nice long walk in the sun the only thing that dampened the walk was the smoke there must be a fire some where near here because the winds were blowing in some nasty smoke ugh . The beach even with the smoke was amazing I love showing people the gorgeous water and long long white sand beach. We enjoyed a nice cold beverage at the beach bar then back to boat to get cleaned up.

We have decided to eat at Coco's beach bar it was fish fry night so a drink at the Tipsy Bar then a good dinner was the plan, the fish was good but I've had way better it was really small. On our way back to the marina we popped into the local spa as they were having a wine and cheese appreciation night. It was a small but nicely presented spa and we were given a tour by the very proud owners the spread of food they had was huge I felt bad for them that it wasn't busier. There was a 2 year old little boy running around all dressed up and happily handing out hugs to everyone it was the grandma fix us ladies needed :-) Before we went for dinner we were sitting on the Cockpit and we noticed some fisherman cleaning some Wahoo and MahiMahi so I went over and asked if we could purchase some they said no but we'll give you a slab ...so off I ran for a bag and scored us dinner for tomorrow night!...yummy!

Back to the boat around 9:30 and the Tipsy Bar was just starting their DJ music night, Bryan pulled the shoot earlier so I stayed on the boat while Patti and Doug enjoyed some time at the bar.

A note on the Marina they are still working on improvements but the management were very nice to us and some of what they said they would be improving was done. The bathrooms were clean and showers were working well that was a huge start. They were very nice and also appreciative of our constructive comments from our last visit. We were comped our slip and utilities and all our drinks at the Tipsy bar which was more than generous of them. Thank you Treasure Cay Marina.
