After a huge downpour first thing in the morning the weather improved so much so that we packed our swimming togs when we went to Flic en Flac to have a delicious Mauritian curry lunch with Anjali and Gautam. We strolled through the older part of the village past typical homes and shops to the fishermen's quarter where their homes have survived attempts to replace them by hotels although the first non-five star one was built next to them on the beach. We swam in the warm sea but had to be careful as bits of coral can be sharp! Upon our return home we did manage to have a quick dip in the jacuzzi for the first time in days in between two long showers.
