With an ear on the weather forecast we put aside our swimsuits and went to Tamarin beach to watch the surfers and try Chou Chou boulettes,a local veg dimsum.very tasty. Next it was off to La Preneuse beach where the Martello tower was open to visitors. Just as we were descending the stairs from the gun platform we were surprised to see loads more visitors but not when we saw the rain outside the door.We waited for it to abate and made a rush for the car a few yards away. By the time we had got home the rain stopped enough for us get up the stairs but continued off and on for the next couple of hours during a late lunch. The rain cleared away and we enjoyed yet another superb sunset. The weather forecast suggests we may miss the worst of the storm so we remain vigilant.
