As normal the day started hot and humid with rain,just a fine drizzle not the torrential rain we've had in the last few days. It is said it's the worst summer for 20 years and we can't help feeling sorry for the holidaymakers in the beach hotels wanting the winter sun and all the traders reliant on them. Sunset cruises,dolphin watching,water sports,diving and all the shops and restaurants. In addition the infrastructure can't cope with all the flooding. One of the three motorways is closed due to damage,electricity cuts,the water supply is becoming compromised in some areas ,the road to the south near the Morne is badly flooded and the internet is intermittent. These are just minor inconveniences really when all is said and done and things are attended to by the authorities.The local firemen are out all the time dealing with it which does prevent them chatting up the cashiers in the local supermarket.
we had our last sunset before travelling to the airport for our overnight flight to Delhi where we will have rude shock,it will be 10* ........brr!
