Bled, Peloponnese, Slovenia
Left Venice and took motorway a short way. Then turned off and drove through spectacular mountain scenery to Slovenia. Lots of snow on the mountain tops, BUT also at ground level, the last of last winter's snow still lying, so...... it is cold again!
Arrived at Bled, drove around the lake, and then to Camp Bled
. ***** camp! geared for adventure sports including Bungy jumping, rafting etc. John spied archery and will try tomorrow. We plan to walk the lake circuit, climb to the castle, boat to the church in the island first. We had to try the Bled Cake too - like a custard slice.
Great news that our friends Rob and Robyn will meet us at Raab in Austria on Friday!
