Melk, Lower Austria, Austria
We left Langenwang and travelled up into the mountains, to view the Semmeringbahn from the road- much backing and turning of the Boomer on ever narrowing roads.

Then on to Krems, on the Danube . A city built on the wine industry, apparently. Explored the old city - a Dominican church now a museum, beautiful cathedral (Piaristenkirche), walk along the Danube, apricot brandy distillery, town hall (Rathaus, ) and lovely square where we discovered the birthplace of Ritter von Kochel, who catalogued all Mozart's compositions. A lovely lady stopped her car to tell us about that house and another heritage listed one dated 1300.

Then we drove along the north bank of the Danube to Melk, and camped where the huge river boats tie up. They carry 180 passengers, including some of our NSW Catterson cousins the previous week!! Sat in outdoor cafe sipping white wine and watching the tourists departing. As has been the case most nights, only one other camper in the camp site.
