Munich and very old friends

Munich, Bavaria, Germany
Drove from Raab to campsite in Munich, on bank of a canal joining the Isar River. Settled The Boomer in for 3 days holiday. We were then collected by our old friends Anni ( whom I have know since I was 12) and Michael, who duly installed us in a lovely hotel. Visited Anni's mother and sister, then dinner at Anni's apartment.

Next day, short visit to a dentist ( friend of Anni) to fix my sore tooth then went back to camp to do some essential maintenance on The Boomer, change wheels etc, and do the washing . When we got back into town, managed to fit in, somehow, afternoon coffee and cake at Dallmayr, followed by a beer and a wine at the Hofbrauhaus, two Munich institutions. Met Anni and Michael again for great local beer with meat and dumplings for dinner.

Next day very wet and windy. We managed to dodge the rain at lunch time by finding a wine cellar near the Rezidenz, where we had wine and sausages with sauerkraut. While we explored the Modern Art Museum and the Museum Brandhorst (ultramodern art), apparently we missed a carpet of hailstones!!!!!! Dinner at a superb restaurant with Anni, Michael and friends completed our days of relaxation in Munich, where I have been numerous times and John at least twice before.
