Bohinjska Bistrica, Peloponnese, Slovenia
Started the day Skyping "my babies, "Harriet and Georgina", and son-in-law Rowan in Brissie. We do miss them all.

Then we travelled across the mountains to Lake Bohinj, west of Bled . The most fantastic alpine scenery and actual (old) snow on the road side we could walk on. Crocuses blooming in the grass in between. Got as far as 1300 metres, to the winter Biathlon Centre for Slovenia, (cross country skiing and rifle shooting) and the road was blocked by snow. Turned around , back tracked, then down another fabulous track. Lunch spot overlooking the valley ahead.

Got to the lake, the biggest in Slovenia, much less commercial than Bled, drove along the shore and up the the car park for Savica Falls. Hiked up 555 steps to a fantastic view of the falls cascading out of a limestone crack and down 78 metres. Coffee and cake (Gibanica- much better then Bled Cake and I have saved the recipe!).

Then drove back to the lake, walked along the shore, and photographed the most photographed church (St. John The Baptist) in Slovenia! Tulips in the yard.

Then drove to camp in the valley floor. Austria tomorrow.
